Wielding an ethereal tone, Jen North pulls upon threads of indietronica and hyperpop to curate an otherworldly sound. Beginning her musical journey at 13, Jen would write songs inspired by the slow, floral Shropshire countryside. Playing these soft, acoustic ballads within the regional area, she quickly made a local name for herself. With age, Jen looked to broaden her surroundings, performing at venues further afield such as The Bedford and The Ned, London. Simultaneously, she developed as a performer, supporting legendary synth-pop acts “China Crisis” and “Go West”. Now, at 19, Jen has moved to London, where she looks to channel the vibrant city colours into her musical palette. This environmental contrast inspires her upcoming EP, combining the gentle, nature-enthused lyrics of her youth with a more synthetic, electronic production style.
